CLD Standards Council Five Year Impact Report 2020-2025
This five-year impact report, showcases a period of growth, and strengthened professional standards. The report highlights how the Standards Council supported practitioners, raised members voices in national policy, and ensured high quality learning and development during one of the most challenging and transformative periods in recent memory.
Over the past five years, the Council has grown by 19%, with around 16 new members joining every month, showing an increasing demand for a strong professional body within the CLD sector. The Standards Council has delivered over 100 events, participated in 129 partner events, and submitted 33 national policy consultation responses, reinforcing our role as a trusted voice for the CLD sector.
The Approvals Suite increased the range of CLD approved qualifications, with more Higher and Further Education organisations gaining approval, including new provision across the Highlands and Islands, which has widened access to professional pathways into CLD. Professional learning opportunities also increased, with programmes such as the Leading CLD programme and the Professional Induction Programme, supporting practitioners at every stage of their development.
