Directors' Statement

Director's statement
This last year has been pivotal for not only the CLD Standards Council but for the sector overall. The publication of the Learning for All for Life in July 2024 outlined a number of recommendations that if adopted and implemented by all relevant partners, will improve the profile of the sector for many years to come. I would like to take this opportunity to offer a sincere thanks to all of our members who took the time to engage in the Member Meet Ups, focus groups, learner events, questionnaires and so much more.As a peer-led organisation the voice of our Membership is essential in raising standards and shaping who we are.

I would also like to thank the members of the CLD Standards Council Committees who work tirelessly alongside the team to raise the professional standards. The essential work of the Approvals, Professional Learning and Registration and Membership committees ensure that our duties as the professional standards and registration body for CLD in Scotland is fulfilled.

I commend this report and hope you will too be proud of the work that we have collectively produced over the last twelve months.
