During 2025–26, the CLD Standards Council engaged with a broad range of national policy consultations.

Across all responses, the CLD Standards Council highlighted that delivery of ambitious national policy depends on a skilled, professional, visible and sustainable CLD workforce. Central to this is the workforce’s critical social justice role in supporting learning, skills development and participation for those most marginalised and furthest from opportunity.
