Professional Induction Programme
The Professional Induction Programme, created by volunteers from the CLD Standards Council Professional Learning Committee, welcomed two new cohorts in 2025/26. 57 members registered for the programme and 25 have completed the course.
The programme introduces members of the CLD Standards Council to the purpose and functions of the Council and what is expected of membership based on its professional standards. Each participant is allocated a mentor to help guide them through it, and each mentor has extensive experience as a member of the CLD Standards Council.

Funding was awarded to Professional Learning Networks across Scotland to support CLD professional learning activities.

Reflective Practice
The Reflective Practice course is an online professional learning programme for CLD practitioners, designed to help them understand and apply reflective practice in their work. It combines self-paced study with four interactive online workshops, allowing participants to explore key concepts, try practical reflection techniques, and share experiences with others.
In 2025/26, we hosted two new cohorts. 47 people registered for the programme with 25 participants completing it.
