Financial provision

The Council will effectively manage its budget and will maintain appropriate financial records in accordance with the financial policies and procedures of Education Scotland.  

The Council will work in partnership with Education Scotland to secure relevant information for the purposes of planning future budgets and reporting to Education Scotland.

The Council and Education Scotland will be committed to the principles of best value, continuous improvement and shared services.

The Council will obtain Education Scotland’s prior written approval before entering into any undertaking to incur any expenditure that falls outside the agreed budget.  Prior approval must always be obtained before incurring expenditure for any purpose that is or might be considered novel, contentious or repercussive or which has or could have significant future cost implications.
