Response to Hayward Enhanced Consultation: Independent Review of Qualifications and Assessment

Background

The Scottish Government is conducting a number of reviews across 2022-2024 into the future of Scottish education with the aim of hearing from the widest possible range of voices and views. The Scottish Government recently carried out an enhanced consultation on the recommendations of the final report from the Hayward Review: It’s Our Future – Independent Review of Qualifications and Assessment. They welcomed views from the wider education sector, including CLD, on any aspect of the report. Because of this we gathered members responses to the questions being asked, which were collated and informed the written response from the CLD Standards Council on this extended consultation. As with all our policy responses, thank you for your engagement and information as with your help we can inform policy makers and ensure they have an understanding of the impact reviews like this one may have on young people, families and communities, as well as CLD workers, across Scotland.
